Hi, I’m Chelsea.
First-gen homeschool mom. Marketing analyst by day. Building this little corner of internet for moms who are figuring out this homeschooling thing!
My Story
I didn’t have experience, but I did have a clear direction of where I wanted to go and faith from the Lord!
When I first started thinking about pulling my son Jace from school, I sat with that decision for almost a year. I prayed about it, researched it, worried about it- a LOT! And when I finally pulled him from school, I had a plan but wanted to make sure we built our curriculum in a way that we had an option to go back into public school. I couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I built it.
I had a friend at church who’d done it before me. Someone who could tell me what to actually do first, what mattered and what didn’t, and that I wasn’t going to ruin my child (lol)!. That friend changed everything and gave me confidence and I want to be that for other homeschool moms.
What I found was a lot of beautiful, polished homeschool content, and not a lot of “here’s what to actually do when you’re starting from scratch and working full-time.”
The Homeschool Post Co started as me just sharing what was working. The Accountability Tracker came out of my own need- I needed to know I was covering what my state required, and I needed something simple enough to actually use.
I’m not a homeschool expert, but I’m finishing up my first year as a homeschool mom and it felt really good knowing I had options. Here’s what I can tell you: you don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need somewhere to start.
A few things we believe around here
You don’t need a perfect plan to start - you just need a first step
Simple systems beat elaborate ones every time
The fact that you’re here means you already care enough.
Working moms can homeschool (it just looks a little different.
